Development Project for redevelopment of the SPEL

After the closing down of the factory of SPEL (Portuguese Society of Explosives) at Seixal and according to the Seixal Municipal General Plan, a development project was made in order to re-develop the area occupied by the former factory, on an area of 40 hectares in the north part of the site, already developed.

The Project designs a new residential urban area, organized around plazas and wide avenues and public spaces, surrounded by forest.
